Windmill pitching faster than regular baseball style?
If someone learned how to throw windmill style in baseball could they throw it as fast or faster than a pitch thrown overhand/three-quarters/sidearm/submarine?

No. The arm is going slower and your body isn’t going over a distance great enough to produce kinetic energy. SO you couldn’t get the advantage of a whipping action or overuse your arm, nor use your stride length.
A baseball is about half as big and weight 30 to 40grams less, but you throw full hand on a windmill which would only let you throw change-ups. The ball can fly off your hand if you use a fastball grip like baseball players. It could be hard to learn how to swing with such a lose grip in a windmill style.
Pitchers are throwing about 70-75mph in softball. The ball can be some 30% less heavy, it won’t make it gain 36mph to beat the speed record or even make it reach 90mph.
Also, it’s illegal in baseball to do it since you have to make a fake pitch to throw as you go up and rotate. (when your arm goes in front it must be to throw the ball). It’s a balk.
But, I got a problem with this rule since you can manage to play many "legal balks" as long as you always play them so and as long as all the umpires knows it and all the players knows it. Also, see how Feller did thrown his ball in the wind-up; he rolls the ball backward to stretch his back when as step back before pushing off. See why I am between saying yes and no?
You are allowed to have a free foot any where in the full wind-up. You can take a step back or to the side and then forward with your free foot. It says you can, not you have to. You have to face the hitter with the ball in both hand before pitching.
You fill everything except you can’t pitch set-up like this. Also, if it’s legal, it’d be easy to steal bases as you can’t pitch to a base like this without disengaging.
Anyway, you can’t created enough power like this to get about 90mph. The weight affect the kinetic energy by half and the speed is square… So, if you can’t create torque with your arm, nor stride long enough and the weight difference is not great enough, it won’t do any good.
