What do you think about this anti-disarmament holiday idea? Would it be legal?
I read about "empty holster day" and it made me think about another idea. I’m not quite sure of the name it should have, or the details, but here is the jist of it.
"National bring your crossbows to gun-free zones day"
Basically, participants would bring gun-alternatives to gun free zones, such as crossbows, bows, baseball bats, axes, swords, knives, chains, nunchucks, spears, etc. Large/strong men and martial artists could wear boxing gloves or muscle shirts or martial arts clothing, to show that their bodies alone are suitable weapons All bladed weapons would be sheathed and blunt weapons would be fastened(so they don’t swing around and accidentally hit people)
Participants(the majority of which will probably be women and the elderly) who aren’t capable of practically carrying such weapons practically would either wear targets or empty holsters(which one do you think is better?) to represent the fact that gun-free zones only disarm the people who need the weapons the most.
Before you disarmament pacifists start saying "but most women don’t have or use guns! Statistically, women are more likely to be killed by a gun than saved by one!". That’s because, unfortunately, most women are afraid of guns, because of you’re disarmament propaganda.
Rather than throw that statistic up, I’d like to ask for differernt numbers. How many women who had guns in their home and knew how to use them or were concealed carry permit holders were killed in a violent manor, as opposed to how many were able to defend themselves, either through violent means or through discouragement of attack.
Anyways, back on topic, what do you think about the holiday? Would you participate if enough people decided to do it with you?
