How to get used to the faster pitching?

I am a freshman at my high school and I just made our baseball team. We had tryouts yesterday and our first game today and i actually got a lot of playing time. But I’m not sure how to get used to the faster pitching. In middle school the fastest we would see in a game was about 70 mph and maybe a little faster. But in high school it is wayy faster. How do I get ready for it?

If you have a batting cage close to where you live, that has different cages with different speeds, that should be able to help. Also, there are loads of things you can buy that’ll help your reflexes, which is really most of the reason you feel overpowered. But, you can always just tell your Coach, he’ll probably do a drill to help with that every once in a while in practice, and if your lucky, he can help you 1 on 1 before or after practice. Good luck, hope that you can become more comfortable at the plate. (I’m on Summer Break, and I’m going to 9th Grade om late August, and the Varsity Coach wants me to play Varsity in the Spring. I’ll have to adjust to when the time comes.)
