Cheap Alternatives for Car Alarm?
Hey everyone. I live in Las Vegas, I have 2 trucks in the family. I’ve only lived in this crap town for about 2 years and we’ve already had our Trucks Broke into, or tried to be stolen 4 times now.. 4 times in under 2 years. I live in a Nice part of town. (come to the nice area and steal is what these loosers do)
So, first time was at old apartment, left both doors cracked open and truck running cuz couldn’t get it into "DRIVE" (Loosers!) Nothing stolen but someone else lost a vehicle that night.
Both cars got hit about 6-7 months ago and got cleared out, Right in our New houses Driveway.. Both trucks had stereo’s and ipod’s in Glove boxes and everything was stolen. They took my COFFEE mug, my sweater. It’s just pathetic what these people do. Go get a damn job! (I’ve now learned to leave NOTHING in my car) Ipod comes inside every single time day or night.
So, recently we got hit again but now I’ve got a TOP of the line alarm. It has a Pager, sound trigger, vibration trigger, tilt trigger if they try to tow it, all doors and entry way’s have contacts. and I have a few bright LED’s. MY truck didn’t get broken into but the other vehicle we have did. Nothing of value was inside the car although my mom didn’t remove her faceplate (She usually does now) these pieces of TRASH took the faceplate this time but NOT the stereo. Usually it’s the opposite. I now fully remove my ENTIRE CD player every single night as it’s a quick release wirejob. and I leave nothing of value in my car and I have No stereo or anything.
I’m hoping some people, or even some back in the day thieves have a few idea’s for me. I’m looking for some good cheap alternatives to help this. I googled Driveway Alarm and I’m thinking of getting a dollar motion detector with wireless alarm and putting INSIDE the car so if they open the door at night the remote will sound in my house and I can run out with a baseball bat.. I have a few idea’s like that, but I’m hoping some others have some great idea’s for me.
Thanks for ANY help. This has happened enough already.
i no my dad got broken into many times and got fed up with it so he went into our local electronic shop and asked if they had a light which he could connect directly to his car, and there was.
he installed a flashing light which cost him about $4 hooked it directly to his car so it was running off his battery (which used hardly any power) and attached it to his dash and since then never got broken into.
u can also get fake stickers saying theres an alarm for more effect.
